Lion Cub
Children in kindergarten are part of the Lion Cub program. They work closely with their adult partner to accomplish activities in their handbook. Recognition is immediate. After completing all 6 achievements, the Lion Cub has earned the Lion Cub Badge.
Tiger
Scouts in 1st grade are part of the Tiger Cub program. They work closely with their adult partner to accomplish activities in their handbook. Recognition is immediate. After completing all required achievements, the Tiger Cub has earned the Tiger Cub Badge.
Wolf
Cub Scouts who have completed first grade (or are age 8) work on twelve achievements to earn the Wolf badge. After earning the Wolf badge, Scouts may work on electives in different interest areas until the next Scouting year begins.
Bear
A Cub Scout who has completed the second grade (or is age 9) works to complete twelve of twenty-four achievements to earn the Bear badge. After earning the Bear badge, Scouts may work on electives in different interest areas until the next Scouting year begins.
Webelos (Webelos is from the phrase “We’ll Be Loyal Scouts”)
When a Cub Scout has completed the third grade (or is ten years old) they join a Webelos Den, led by an adult Webelos leader. The Scout works on requirements for the Webelos badge. Webelos is a rank where Scouts begin to learn skills in preparing to bridge to Scouts BSA. After earning the Webelos badge, Scouts may work on electives in different interest areas until the next Scouting year begins.
Arrow of Light (AOL)
When a Cub Scout has completed the fourth grade, they join an AOL Den. The AOL Den works on requirements and electives designed to prepare a Scout to bridge to Scouts BSA and begin a new journey. Once Scouts have completed their requirements and earned their AOL they can bridge to a Troop of their choice.
